People shy away from classical music. It takes more to understand classical repertoire. One has to study history, musicianship, and style. It is a very comprehensive study, in short, you have to know everything there is to know about music. I study constantly, it never ends. When I study Beethoven and Mozart, I learn something new each time I revisit these pieces. I am sure Mozart and Beethoven went through what we go through in our daily lives, yet they chose beauty and love over the mess of their times. People are extremely touchy these days, but I believe we have to strive to do the same. We choose love and understanding above all things, creativity and beauty over all things. That’s what keeps us alive and unites us in this endeavor. Art does not exist when we put aside our daily existence, but we try to connect and link our daily existence to the beauty that we know exists and will triumph. Make a statement in the most peaceful way there is, join the forces to create and defend beauty and sensitivity in our daily existence.
